Aimee Squires

Principal

Aimee was born and raised in the Bay Area. She graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in Finance and Entrepreneurship. After graduation, she joined Piper Sandler as an Investment Banking Analyst focused on the consumer vertical, particularly the restaurant sector. After completing her analyst program at Piper, she joined Alliance Consumer Growth. At ACG, she invested in and worked closely with several high-growth brands across the consumer landscape with a focus on food & beverage. Aimee joined Amberstone as a Senior Associate and continues to lead sourcing, diligence, and portfolio partner support efforts.

What inspired you to pursue early stage investing?

Throughout my entire life, my goal has always been to make a difference in the world around me. Whether it’s my family, friends, community, or teams, I hope to leave things better than they were. Early stage investing provides another avenue to do just that. Having the opportunity to impact the lives of those we partner with and the consumers that we reach is what gets me excited everyday. Working with founders and brands that are delivering better products, with superior ingredients and higher quality, allows us to change entire industries. What more could I ask for!

What’s your favorite part about being in the consumer space?

Sharing all of my favorite products! My friends and family may love me doing it as much as I do. I bring all of my favorite skincare products to my mom, my friends have been the beneficiaries of many new food and beverage products, my dad is now a craft NA beer guy and my sister’s dog only eats human grade food. There’s nothing better than trying new things and all of us coming together over our favorites. Consumer products are a way for us to bring joy into all the little moments of our lives.
